The Village Keepers is a community-driven volunteer initiative dedicated to uplifting Black families impacted by poverty and systemic racism. By building a holistic network of organizations, individuals, and allies, we provide essential resources, opportunities, and support to ensure the safety, health, education, and economic stability of underserved communities.
Through innovative programs such as empowerment seminars, educational support, mental health outreach, job training, trauma care, and cultural preservation, we address critical challenges while fostering resilience, self-reliance, and collective growth. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to creating sustainable, transformative change for individuals and families, empowering them to thrive and reclaim their futures.

Village Keepers Community Initiatives
Virtual Marketplace and Community Empowerment Network
A platform for vendors to connect with underserved consumers, providing goods, services, and opportunities. Promotes a “help one, help all” approach to improving community quality of life.
A Way Out of No Way Program
Empowerment seminars for women in underserved communities, offering group support and resources to overcome economic and social barriers.
Afterschool Tutorials and Saturday School Programs
Free educational programs that focus on reading, STEAM subjects, and Black history, helping children and adults develop academic skills and cultural awareness.
Black Men's
Mental Health Seminar
A safe space for African American men to address mental health challenges, reduce stigma, and access emotional support.
Health and Human Services Information Fair
A community event providing health resources, food giveaways, and clothing distribution to support low-income families.
Preserving Local African American History
Celebrating the contributions of African American ancestors and living legends to inspire pride, cultural connection, and intergenerational resilience.
24/7 Trauma Center
A community-operated call and referral center offering immediate support to families and children facing traumatic experiences, helping preserve family stability.
Logistics, Employment, and Training Network
Partnerships providing job training, preparation, and placement to help youth and hard-to-employ individuals access sustainable employment opportunities.
